ConvertGoblin is a web-based document conversion platform that enables users to convert files between various formats. Our Service:

• Processes all conversions client-side (in your browser) for maximum privacy
• Does not upload, store, or transmit your files to our servers
• Provides both free and premium subscription plans
• Offers an API for programmatic access (Pro and Lifetime plans)

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of the Service at any time with or without notice.

3. User Accounts and Registration

3.1 Account Creation: You may be required to create an account to access certain features. You agree to:

• Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration
• Maintain and update your account information to keep it accurate
• Maintain the security of your password and account credentials
• Accept responsibility for all activities under your account
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access or security breach

• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Service

• Upload files containing malware, viruses, or malicious code
• Violate intellectual property rights of others
• Upload copyrighted materials without proper authorization
• Use the Service to create or distribute spam, phishing, or fraudulent content
• Attempt to exceed rate limits or circumvent security measures
• Share API keys or account credentials with unauthorized parties
• Use the Service to process files you do not have legal rights to convert

5. Intellectual Property Rights

5.1 Our Rights: The Service, including all software, code, graphics, text, logos, and other materials, is owned by ConvertGoblin and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.

5.2 Your Content: You retain all ownership rights to files you upload and convert. By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to process your files solely to provide the conversion service. We do not claim ownership of your converted files.

5.3 User Content Responsibility: You are solely responsible for ensuring you have the legal right to convert any files you upload. You warrant that your use of the Service does not infringe upon the rights of any third party.

6. Subscription Plans, Payment Terms, and Refunds

6.1 Available Plans: We offer Free, Pro (monthly subscription), and Lifetime (one-time payment) plans. Plan features and limitations are detailed on our Pricing page.

6.2 Payment Processing: Payments are processed securely through PayPal. We do not store your payment information on our servers. By subscribing, you authorize PayPal to charge your payment method.

6.3 Billing:

• Pro Plan: Billed monthly on the same date as your initial subscription
• Lifetime Plan: One-time payment with lifetime access
• All prices are in USD unless otherwise stated
• Taxes may apply based on your location

6.4 Cancellation: You may cancel your Pro subscription at any time through your dashboard. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. No refunds are provided for unused portions of a billing period.

6.5 Refund Policy:

• Pro Plan: 30-day money-back guarantee from date of purchase. Contact support within 30 days for a full refund.
• Lifetime Plan: 30-day money-back guarantee. Contact support within 30 days for a full refund.
• Refunds are processed within 5-10 business days
• No refunds are available after 30 days from purchase
• Refunded accounts are immediately downgraded to Free plan

6.6 Plan Changes: You may upgrade or downgrade your plan at any time. Upgrades take effect immediately. Downgrades take effect at the end of your current billing period.

6.7 Price Changes: We reserve the right to modify subscription prices. Existing subscribers will be notified 30 days in advance of any price increases. You may cancel before the price change takes effect.

7. API Usage and Limitations

7.1 API Access: API access is available for Pro and Lifetime plan subscribers. Each plan has specific rate limits and usage quotas as detailed in our API documentation.

7.2 API Keys: You are responsible for maintaining the security of your API keys. Do not share API keys publicly or commit them to version control. We are not liable for unauthorized use of compromised API keys.

7.3 Rate Limits: We implement rate limiting to ensure fair usage. Exceeding rate limits may result in temporary or permanent API access suspension.

7.4 API Changes: We reserve the right to modify the API at any time. We will provide reasonable notice of breaking changes via email and API documentation.

8. Service Availability and Modifications

8.1 Availability: We strive to maintain 99.9% uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. The Service may be unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or unforeseen circumstances.

8.2 Modifications: We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature of the Service at any time with or without notice.

8.3 Scheduled Maintenance: We will attempt to notify users of scheduled maintenance via email or website notices when possible.

9. Warranty Disclaimers and Limitations

9.1 "As Is" Service: The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to:

• Warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose
• Warranties that the Service will be error-free, uninterrupted, or secure

9.2 Conversion Accuracy: While we strive for accuracy, we do not guarantee that converted files will be identical to originals in all respects. Always verify converted documents before using them for critical purposes.

9.3 File Format Support: We support numerous file formats but cannot guarantee support for all variations or proprietary formats. We reserve the right to add or remove format support.

10. Limitation of Liability

10.1 Exclusion: To the maximum extent permitted by law, ConvertGoblin and its affiliates, officers, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including:

• Loss of profits, revenue, data, or business opportunities
• Loss or corruption of files or data
• Costs of procuring substitute services
• Damages resulting from use or inability to use the Service

10.2 Maximum Liability: Our total liability for any claims arising from your use of the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $100, whichever is greater.

10.3 Basis of Bargain: You acknowledge that the limitations of liability reflect the allocation of risk between the parties and that these limitations are an essential element of the basis of the bargain.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless ConvertGoblin, its affiliates, officers, employees, and agents from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorney fees) arising from:

• Your violation of these Terms
• Your violation of any law or rights of a third party
• Any content or files you upload or convert

12. User Conduct and Prohibited Activities

You agree to use the Service in a lawful and appropriate manner. Prohibited activities include but are not limited to:

• Violating any applicable local, state, national, or international law
• Infringing upon intellectual property rights
• Uploading malicious code, viruses, or harmful software
• Using the Service to create or distribute spam or phishing content
• Attempting to gain unauthorized access to the Service or other accounts
• Interfering with or disrupting the Service or servers
• Reverse engineering, decompiling, or disassembling the Service
• Using automated systems to abuse the Service or exceed rate limits

13. Termination

13.1 By You: You may terminate your account at any time by canceling your subscription (if applicable) and deleting your account through the dashboard.

13.2 By Us: We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service immediately, without prior notice, if you:

• Violate these Terms
• Engage in fraudulent or illegal activity
• Fail to pay required fees
• Use the Service in a manner that harms us or other users

13.3 Effect of Termination: Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. We may delete your account data and files. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will survive.

14. Dispute Resolution
